At Watchguard, we pride ourselves on our continuous Training Programmes for both Managers, Supervisory Levels and Security
Personnel alike, at our purpose built training
complexes at Ella Adventure Park in Ella and the Adventure Hub, Thotupola.

Security and protection strategies, techniques and skills are constantly updated throughout the organization.

Training of the Security Personnel

All recruits entering the organization must undergo and pass a basic training course at the our Adventure Training Centre in Ella and Thotupola, covering the various aspects of personality development and security services functions that they will be expected to carry out.

Ella Training complex which is manned by Ex-Commandos and SF personnal subject the trainers to grueling experience in the wilderness and over the waters of Kirindi Oya. The training is so intensive and focused that the trainees come out as completely transformed person.

Thotupola is also our advanced training centre where all our recruits under go leadership and personal development training under war hardened instructors.

Due to the popularity of our training facilities and its results we receive repeated requests from our Corporate Clients to open our facilities and provide training to their Management Teams. Due to these requests we now undertake training for individuals and group training to corporate sector at Ella whenever it is not being utilized to train our Security Personnel.

This training and certification is repeated on an annual basis.

Initial On-Site Training

The initial on-site training is designed to ensure security personnel understanding of the roles and responsibilities specifically for their allocated contracts.

On-going training and career development

Watchguard is committed to ensuring all staff is given the opportunity to develop their careers.

Training programmes on leadership, team building, self, confidence & communication skills

In addition to the initial basic training, programmes are arranged once in six months at the company owned Training camps at Ella Adventure Park at Wellawaya and Eco
Adventure Hub, Thotupola at Piliyandala.

First aid training programmes

We conduct Basic and Advance First Aid Training Programmes in conjunction with St
John’s Ambulance service to make an awareness on First Aid.

Fire Fighting

In the event of an outbreak of fire, there is a possibility for it to spread causing losses to life and property. It is important and pertinent to educate employees regarding the high risk of fire hazard and train them to prevent such an eventuality. These systems are taught and trained to the staff members which assist us to run any assignment with confidence.
