Our welfare measures are too many to name.,They ensure a high retention rate compared
to other service providers and we always believe that best welfare always begin with
training.
All our promotional appointments are filled internally thus inducing the staff to work
hard to achieve their goals in progressing through their career. Events such as Annual
Sport Meets, Talent Night, Best Security Officer of the Month, Best Employee of the Year.
Birth day Greetings and Compliments are organized by us and we have our own Musical
Band, Company Theme Songs, suitable accommodations for Staff and Loans Schemes.
Employee Retention Programmes
This in itself inculcates a sense of belonging
amongst our employees and goes a long way
in the retention factor. Again, another simple
factor pertains to the payment of wages on
time. Here again, a routine matter, but one
that matters a lot to everyone. In addition to
paying wages on time, we were one of the
first companies to start making payment of
wages for our staff, by direct transfer into
their bank accounts.
Recreational facilities are also provided
wherever possible and We as Management
are continuously looking for ways to improve
the facilities for our staff.
Welfare Department
To look into welfare of the staff a completely different department to handle these
issues, the Welfare Department was instituted many years ago.
Promotion
Last but not the least is the avenue and opportunity for promotion. We at Watchguard
will always prefer to promote from within the organization before looking elsewhere.
To this effect, our people are assessed and appraised by their line managers and suitable
training is imparted to them to prepare them for further responsibilities.
All personnel within the company must be suitably qualified for the task that they must
perform.
To be promoted, a person must have the required skills for the particular task.
- He/she must have the relevant experience that the position demands.
- He/she must have the inter-personal skills required for the post
- He/she must be able to earn the respect of the people he/she will supervise
- He/she must have perceived or demonstrated leadership skills and traits
- He/she should not have any adverse or disciplinary remarks against them
All these measures and programmes have stood us in good stead in maintaining a good
retention of staff. |
