Major Vijitha Welikala - Chairman / Managing Director in a true sense of the word is a pioneer and a pace setter. While in the Sri Lanka Army where he served in the elite Commando Regiment, Major Welikala had the good opportunity of being trained
with the Rangers in USA in addition to his training in India and Pakistan Army Training Teams. He was also assigned for Ex-British Army Training Team to acclimatize himself with the Advanced Military tactics. Besides being a paratrooper and paragliding
license holder, he is a keen Naturalist.

Having pioneered the formation of Sri Lanka Security Service Providers Association in
2004, he became the obvious choice to conduct the affairs of SLASSPA and was elected
unanimously as the Hony. Secretary, a position he held with due diligence and commitment. He is presently the President of this apex body of security service providers which has contributed positively and effectively to the Industrial Security
Trade.

In recognition of this valuable contribution, Major Welikala has been appointed as the
representative of Sri Lanka Security Service Providers Association (SLASSPA) in the
Security Training Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Defence. He is also member of
the Advisory committe of the Wages Board for the Security Trade appointed by the Ministry of Labour.

Major Vijitha Welikala who was the Hon.Secretary of the Ex Commando legion is the
current chairman of the corporate Social Responsibility of Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s
Association.

Former commanding officer, Sri Lanka Volunteer Naval Force and Naval Spokesman,
Captain Jayasinghe has held very senior appointments in the public service as Assistant
Commissioner General Essential services, Additional Secretary to the Governor, North
East Provinces and until recently as Secretary to the Governor, Eastern Province. He also served as Private Secretary to the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2001-2004 and represented the country at various International Conferences.

Captain Jayasinghe was Secretary General,Sri Lanka Ex Servicemens’ Association (1999 – 2007) in which capacity he represented Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen‘s Association at the Royal Commonwealth Ex-Service League Conference in UK and Canada & Vice President (2007 – 2010). Presently he is at the helm of affairs as President of Sri Lanka Ex- Servicemen’s’ Association.

Mr. De Silva has 10 years experience in civil security as a Group Manager and he was a
group Human Resources Manager in a leading garment factory chain in Sri Lanka for 12
years.

Chandana Abegunawardana - Manager Systems & Marketing

Mr.Chandana is an Ex Commissioned Officer in Sri Lanka Air Force and has specialized
in Information and Communication Technology with a background of Business Management, Administration and Marketing with local and international qualifications. He has held several management positions and has also specialized in Camera Technology and Multicamera Systems.

Mr. Wijerathna is a well Experienced Software Engineer and a Web Developer &
Designer who developed number of commercial web sites as IT specialist with hands on
experience in e-commerce both locally and internationally.He is also a qualified network
administrator (CCNA).

He also qualified with British Gas Paint/Painting Inspection and have worked as a
Industrial Painting Inspector and Supervisor in Riyad Air Base - K.S.A, Al.Karaj U.S.A.
Air Base - K.S.A., Kuwait Dockyard(U.S.A.Marine Division),Qatar Petroleum Corporation
and Qatar Electricity & Water Co.

Mr.BRM Fernando – Chief Facilitator Adventure

A warrant Officer in Commando Regiment, BRM counts 22 years of service in the Sri
Lanka Army. He is an experienced paratrooper and has many years of eco adventure
engineering experience. He was the race director, Kit Challenge programme and has
been a participant in all adventure races conducted by Wild Holidays. Considered an Eco
Adventure specialist, BRM performed duties as Director of the recently concluded Real
Leader programme conducted by Derana TV.
